As a new member or visitor, you can contact any of the club officers with your questions, comments, and suggestions. They will either help you directly or guide you to the person who will assist you.
Meetings
Third Thursday each month unless otherwise posted. Fly tying 6:30 - 7:30 pm, fly-casting weather/daylight permitting, and general meeting to follow: 7:30 - 9:00 pm.
Specialty Contact/Mentoring Opportunities
John Adametz: John Adametz is passionate about fly fishing and is a credentialed Master Casting Instructor with Fly Fishers International. He is a member of Virginia Coastal Fly Anglers club where he volunteers as Vice President and Casting Chair and is the Founder of Adametz Fly Fishing Academy
Larry Clemens: Provides mentoring in fly tying, casting, fishing info, and newest items associated with fly fishing. Knowledgeable of various fisheries in Hampton Roads and beyond.
David Dembicki: Provides mentoring in both fresh and saltwater flyfishing, fly tying, rigging, knot tying instructions, small skiff and jet ski fishing.
Chris Malgee: Local guide. Provides mentoring in casting and rigging. Knowledgeable in local waters.
Ed Pacheco: Ed provides mentoring in fly tying, rod rigging, fly casting. Knowledgeable in local water, inlets, boating and equipment information
Jim Sadler: Provides mentoring in fly rod rigging, boat fishing, equipment maintenance and general assistance. Special areas of interest Chesapeake Bay area fishing and Atlantic Ocean.
Chris Viano: Provides mentoring in Casting. Knowledgeable in fishing local waters. Specialty in Kayak fishing.
Please remember that the VCFA club was formed to get people interested in fly fishing together so they could learn from one another. Members are willing to share information about saltwater and freshwater fishing opportunities.
