Special Events and Trips
The VCFA schedules fly fishing trips both in, and outside, the local area. VCFA also sponsors special events such as fly tying and fly-fishing classes and welcome nationally known speakers like Lefty Kreh and Tom Earnhardt.
Why Fly Fishing?
Fly-fishing is often more productive than other fishing techniques. Modern tackle allows the fly fisherman to present flies at various depths, even in relatively deep water, or swift currents. The ability to cast a fly line well is a skill that takes a bit of practice, but anyone can learn. In fact, when done well, it's an art!
